Job summary

UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT is seeking an experienced Magnetic Resonance Technologist to perform MRI imaging with a focus on safety and patient comfort. You will work under Radiologist supervision and alongside an MRI team in a world-class academic medical center.

The role requires MRI certification (ARRT or ARMRIT) or enrollment to obtain certification within 2 years, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts and every third weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology (CAHEA/JRCT).
• Has advanced certification in MRI (ARRT or ARMRIT) OR will obtain MRI certification within 2 years of hire (tracked at Department level).
• This position requires verification of college transcript.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures using MRI equipment and ensure high-quality images.
• Maintain MRI safety protocols and adapt to different field strengths and implants.
• Collaborate with Radiologists and MRI Supervisor for patient care and imaging decisions.
• Monitor and support patients to reduce anxiety and claustrophobia during imaging.
