Job summary

Mercy Health in Youngstown, OH seeks an MRI Technologist to perform MRI exams and support radiology operations under radiologist supervision. The role emphasizes safety, image quality, and patient-centered care.

Requires ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology with MRI registry (MR) or completion within one year, and BLS is preferred/pre-required before direct patient care. 1 year MRI dept experience, EPIC EHR and PACS familiarity are advantageous.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification and registration in Diagnostic Radiology; MRI Registry (MR) required or within one year of hire.
• BLS certification (preferred; required prior to direct patient care).
• 1 year MRI department experience preferred; EPIC EHR and PACS familiarity advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment per established protocols.
• Ensure patient and staff safety in MRI procedures.
• Verify patient data and imaging requests for accuracy.
• Select MRI pulse sequences and parameters per protocol.
• Assist in training and supervision of MRI students and new staff.
• Provide direct patient care and pre-/post-procedure instructions.
• Administer IV contrast agents as needed and monitor for adverse reactions.
