Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and manage scheduling for inpatients and outpatients. The role supports radiology operations within MUSC’s facilities, coordinating with radiologists and using PACS/RIS systems for image handling and reporting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 1 year of radiologic experience.
• ARRT registration; SC Radiation Quality Standards licensure.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC acceptable).
• ARRT MRI registration within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Schedule exams for inpatient and outpatient.
• Select correct protocol as set by Radiologist and verify patient.
• Perform high-quality diagnostic examinations for interpretation.
• Send images to PACS and complete exam in RIS and PACS; document paperwork and bill for contrast in EPIC.
• Operate with independence and minimal supervision.
