The MRI technologist operates under the supervision of MRI department leadership, performing technical, supportive, and departmental duties related to diagnostic procedures in the cardiac MRI suite and Cardio dynamics Department. Responsibilities include preparing patients, operating MRI equipment, developing protocols, and providing patient care across various age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• ARRT Licensure with MRI Certification
• Ability to work independently
• GE experience required

Scheduling Requirements

• Day shift, 24 hours/week
• Part-time schedule with on-call rotation

Professional and Technical Functions

• Perform high-quality MRI scans and operate MRI equipment
• Understand MRI physics and develop protocols
• Perform quality assurance and system monitoring
• Prepare and care for patients, including screening and IV insertion
• Provide patient education and emergency care as needed
