Job summary

Willamette Valley Medical Center in McMinnville, Oregon seeks an MRI Technologist to operate the magnetic resonance scanner, obtain diagnostic images, and educate patients on procedures. You will ensure safety, assist with contrast administration, and perform quality control to support accurate diagnoses.

The role requires graduation from an ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program and BLS-HCP certification, with registry in Radiology, MR, or Nuclear Medicine.

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider required; registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images for physician use.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams for cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and respond to changes as needed.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies; select imaging parameters; follow safety standards and QC procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, report, and resolve equipment malfunctions and image quality issues.

ARRT/JRCERT/ARMRIT/NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
