Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in Salem, Oregon, is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate state-of-the-art MRI scanners, tailor protocols, and document findings to support radiologist interpretation.

You will work with EPIC, Radiant, and PACS, follow ALARA and MRI safety guidelines, provide patient-centered care across ages, and collaborate with radiologists and care teams in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • Credentialed in radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registered with ARRT in MRI, or AMRIT in MRI.
  • Licensed in radiography with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).

Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI scanners with precision and safety.
  • Select protocols and adjust exposure for patient anatomy and clinical needs to produce high-quality images.
  • Evaluate scans for completeness and diagnostic value.
  • Gather additional images or patient information to support interpretation.
  • Proficiently use EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to access exam histories and document details.
  • Prepare complete case documentation with relevant symptoms and history.
  • Strictly adhere to MRI safety protocols and screening procedures.
  • Follow ALARA guidelines and department safety policies.
  • Provide age-appropriate, holistic patient care and effective communication with radiologists and care teams.
