Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS-HCP certification required; registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required

Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance scanner to obtain diagnostic images.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, ensure safety and QC procedures.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues as necessary.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedures.
• Analyze results and identify image quality issues.
• Enter, transmit and report scan results.

Position Summary

Operates magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies.

• Educates patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
• When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

What we’re looking for

• Education: Graduated from an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine
• Certifications: Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) required; ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required
