This temporary position involves varied shifts, instruction and collaboration with radiology staff, and maintaining equipment and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiography.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on State regulations and business need.
• Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
• Certification in imaging specialty.

Responsibilities

• Screens patient before exam for precautions or contradictions using two patient identifiers.
• Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures and positions them for scanning.
• Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for diagnosis with minimal supervision, while talking to patients.
• Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly as needed.
• Follows physicians' orders, adheres to safety regulations, and maintains RIS patient records.
• Maintains an orderly, clean work area and sanitizes equipment after each use.
• Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
