Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield - National Building Imaging is seeking an MRI Technologist for PRN/per diem shifts. The role involves operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality imaging for accurate diagnostics.

You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to provide compassionate care. Candidates should have graduated from an accredited imaging program with ARRT registry eligibility or status and must obtain BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completed required clinical hours.
• Experience: no experience required
• Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
• Certification/Registration: ARRT registry OR Registry eligible (Achieve registry within 6 months of eligibility); BLS within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI imaging equipment and software to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Maintain high-quality diagnostic images and equipment quality.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare staff to optimize patient care.
