Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures and related techniques for diagnostic imaging in a patient-centered environment. You will ensure safety, prepare patients, operate MRI systems, inject contrast when needed, and document all procedures in the EMR.

This PRN position requires flexibility, weekend or on-call coverage as needed. Experience in radiology, ARRT MR certification, and strong communication skills are essential to provide high-quality care across

Qualifications

• Graduate radiography or MRI training with licensure eligibility.
• Certification in MRI (ARRT MR) or ARRT (R) with MR by employer-required deadline.
• ARMRIT credential required if ARRT not held; CPR/BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures under physician orders for diagnostic imaging.
• Prepares patients, explains procedures, and minimizes anxiety.
• Operates MRI hardware and pulse sequences per protocols.
• Maintains safety practices and documents incidents.
• Verifies consent, administers contrast as needed and monitors patients.
• Records results in EMR and assists with interventional procedures as required.
