Job summary

Premier Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice in the Nashville area, is seeking an MRI technologist to support high-quality outpatient imaging. You will perform MRI examinations, ensure safety, and maintain equipment under the guidance of the MRI Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized AMA Council on Education radiologic technology program.
• Certification by ARRT or ARMRIT is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Ability to perform intravenous injections proficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain MRI protocols and quality control under MRI Coordinator/Lead.
• Perform and maintain daily checks on MRI scanners as required by credentialing bodies.
• Maintain a safe MR environment with proper patient screening.
• Conduct intravenous injections for contrast following OSHA guidelines.
• Demonstrate competency in all MRI examinations and equipment in assigned area.

Position Summary:

• Responsible formaintainingprotocols as directed by the MRI Coordinator/Lead(s).
• Performs andmaintainsdaily check-ups and quality control on MRI scanners required by American College of Radiology (ACR), and thestateDepartment of State Health Services and any other credentialing organizations as required bylaw.
• Responsible formaintaininga safe MR environment including proper screening of all persons entering the MRI suite following best practice standards.
• Performs IV insertion when contrast is needed following proper guidelines asestablishedby Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
• Demonstrates competency andproficiency, following protocols, in the performance of:All MRI examinations and equipment in their assigned work area, proper positioning of the patient, selectionof theappropriate protocolwhilemaintainingacceptable technical adjustments, proper post processing of MRI examinations and proper identification of cross-sectional anatomy.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate oferrecognized,approved AMAcouncilof Education program in radiological technology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Requires currentBLS.
• Mustdemonstrateabilityto perform intravenous injections withproficiency.
• Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all clinical personnel and patients, and toestablisheffective working relationships
