Job summary

Premier Radiology is seeking a skilled registered nurse to join our outpatient imaging team in the Nashville area. You will prepare patients for procedures, establish IV access, and assist physicians during interventional radiology cases while maintaining sterile technique.

The role requires an RN license, CPR/ACLS/BLS certification, and 5+ years in interventional radiology or related fields. Competitive compensation and a comprehensive rewards package are offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • CPR, ACLS/BLS required
  • 5+ yrs. experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology, emergency/critical medicine and/or code team experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for procedures per physician orders and established protocols, including NPO verification and site confirmation.
  • Initiates IV access, administers pre-procedure medications, and prepares contrast agents or procedural medications as ordered.
  • Assists physicians during procedural and interventional radiology cases, anticipating needs and maintaining sterile or aseptic techniques.
  • Monitors patients throughout procedures, including vital signs, cardiac rhythm, oxygenation, level of consciousness, and pain.
  • Administers medications, IV fluids, and moderate sedation per provider orders and organizational policy.
  • Provides post-procedure recovery and monitoring until discharge criteria are met.

PositionSummary
  • Prepares patients for procedures per physician orders and established protocols, including NPO verification andsite confirmation.

Quality, Safety, and Compliance
  • Adheres to state nurse practice acts, ASC accreditation standards (AAAHC), and radiation safety requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with infection prevention, sterile technique, and contrast safety protocols.
  • Follows radiation safety practices, includinguseof personal protective equipment (PPE) and monitoring devices whenrequired.
  • Participatesin performance improvement initiatives, regulatory surveys, and emergency preparedness drills.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Education –bachelor’s degree, RN certified. Preferred
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state ofpractice
  • CPR, ACLS/BLS.
  • 5+ yrs. experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology, emergency/critical medicine and/or code team experiencepreferred.
