Job summary

Merit Health River Region Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine MRI procedures and support diagnostic services. You will ensure patient safety, produce high-quality images, and follow department protocols while maintaining equipment and supplies.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, safety, and collaboration with radiologists and the healthcare team to achieve optimal imaging outcomes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRI principles, safety standards, and imaging techniques.
• 0–2 years of clinical MRI experience required.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required or eligible within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures per physician orders and protocols.
• Educate and prepare patients for MRI exams, ensuring comfort.
• Maintain MRI safety zones and verify patient/staff readiness.
• Document clinical history and correlate with exam findings.
• Monitor MRI equipment and manage supplies and sterility.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to optimize results.
