Atrium Health Union West is seeking a MRI Technologist I to perform MRI procedures in accordance with departmental protocols. You will operate MRI scanners and related equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety during the exam.

This PRN, part-time position requires ARRT radiologic or nuclear medicine certification eligibility and CPR. The role emphasizes radiology safety, patient prep, and collaboration with radiologists and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine program.
• MRI ARRT registry eligibility required; registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identify orders and verify with radiologist before exam.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures; assist during MRI exams.
• Administer IV contrast per protocols; record as needed.
• Operate MRI scanners and monitor patient safety throughout the exam.
• Maintain radiology safety practices and clean work areas.
