Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an MRI Technologist for a PRN role in the NE Outpatient area with day shifts. The position involves performing MRI exams, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality imaging to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, with BLS/ACLS; strong safety and patient-care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• BLS or ACLS certification required.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• Excellent safety and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures on patients: prepares for MRI, explains procedure, positions patient, selects imaging techniques, ensures image quality.
• Enters and monitors patient data.
• Performs QA on MRI equipment.
• May assist with accreditation applications and renewals.
• Responds to emergencies and adheres to department policies and budgetary guidelines.
• Mentors less experienced staff and supports professional development.
