Job Summary And Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and radiographs per American Registry of Radiologic Technologists standards to assist diagnosis or treatment. You will demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation, provide patient care, and recognize patient conditions for successful procedures.

• Prepare patients, provide instructions, and minimize anxiety.
• Complete documentation on forms, logs, and Meditech.
• Administer contrast using proper technique.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic scans.
• Label and identify images according to protocol.
• Communicate pertinent information to radiologists promptly.

Job Requirements

Experience

• One to two years of MRI Technologist experience preferred.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited radiology or MRI program, or equivalent military training.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current BLS certification.
• ARRT (MR) certification within 6 months of hire or ARMRIT certification.
• Preferred: MRT certification with Texas Medical Board.
