Job Summary

Provides healthcare using radionuclides for diagnosis or treatment, performs nuclear medicine procedures, and produces images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. Exercises professional judgment and provides appropriate patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed radioactive materials to patients.
  • Collect and document data from radiation emitted by tissues using complex equipment.
  • Perform quality control on equipment and radioactive materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director or Manager.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
  • Associate Degree.
  • Graduate from AMA-approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine program, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years in an acute care setting as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Licenses and Certificates
  • Registry in Nuclear Medicine from ARRT or NMTCB, required within 90 days of hire.
  • State Registered Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
