Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with a focus on patient safety and comfort. The role requires setting up equipment, positioning patients, and producing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities include history taking, contrast protocols, emergency response, sterile technique, and strict adherence to safety standards. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess patient conditions before procedures.
  • Follow protocols for contrast administration, verify patient identity, and review images for quality.
  • Respond to emergencies, assist colleagues, and ensure patient dignity throughout exams.
  • Prepare patients and equipment, demonstrate sterile techniques, and administer contrast safely.
  • Adjust techniques for optimal imaging, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain cleanliness.
  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff, document procedures accurately, and participate in training.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including equipment calibration and documentation.
  • Support departmental operations, including patient transport, supply restocking, and clerical duties.

Job description

Role Overview:

This position involves providing safe, patient-centered imaging services, performing a variety of diagnostic procedures independently with judgment and technical skill. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and ensures high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment, while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and safety.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess patient conditions before procedures.

  • Follow protocols for contrast administration, verify patient identity, and review images for quality.

  • Respond to emergencies, assist colleagues, and ensure patient dignity throughout exams.

  • Prepare patients and equipment, demonstrate sterile techniques, and administer contrast safely.

  • Adjust techniques for optimal imaging, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain cleanliness.

  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff, document procedures accurately, and participate in training.

  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including equipment calibration and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills:


  • Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion and ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Minimum of 1 year clinical experience, preferably in MRI settings.

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, with attention to detail and professionalism.

  • Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, MRI procedures, and safety protocols.
