Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures with precision and safety in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will set up equipment, position patients, monitor image quality, and ensure privacy and comfort during exams.

The ideal candidate holds ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification, has at least one year of clinical MRI experience, and demonstrates excellent communication and patient-service skills.

• Certified Radiologic Technologist with accredited program completion.

Responsibilities

• Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess contraindications.
• Administer contrast media safely and verify patient information.
• Operate MRI equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions and maintain cleanliness.
• Explain procedures to patients, address questions and ensure comfort.
• Review images for quality, transmit studies to PACS, document accurately.
• Assist in patient transport and support procedural workflows.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, follow safety guidelines and training.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies, including call duties.

Job description

Role Overview:

This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate imaging services by performing a variety of technical procedures independently. The technologist sets up equipment, positions patients, and ensures image quality while adhering to safety and procedural standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain comprehensive clinical histories and assess patients for contraindications.
• Administer contrast media safely, verifying patient information and preparing patients for procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain cleanliness and infection control.
• Explain procedures to patients, address questions, and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Review images for quality, transmit studies to PACS, and document accurately.
• Assist in patient transport, support procedures, and perform routine clerical tasks.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, follow safety guidelines, and participate in mandatory training.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies, including taking call when necessary.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program certification.
• ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification and BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of clinical experience, preferably in MRI settings.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating attention to detail.
• Competence in MRI procedures, anatomy, pathology, and safety protocols.
