MEP Health in Newnan, GA is seeking an MRI technologist to provide safe, age-appropriate imaging services. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, obtain histories, and maintain patient privacy while ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies.
Role requires ARMRIT/ARRT-MR certification, BLS, and at least 1 year of MRI experience. Team-oriented, with strong communication and multitasking skills, you will work in a fast-paced hospital environment and support ongoing QA activities.
This position involves providing safe, age-appropriate MRI imaging services, performing technical procedures with independent judgment, and ensuring high-quality diagnostic studies. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, positioning patients, obtaining clinical histories, administering contrast media, and maintaining patient privacy and comfort.
Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment, produce acceptable images, follow safety protocols, and ensure equipment cleanliness. Assist with patient care, respond to emergencies, and support departmental operations such as restocking supplies and maintaining a clean environment. Document procedures accurately and transmit images promptly.
Requires ARMRIT or ARRT-MR certification, BLS certification, and a minimum of 1 year clinical MRI experience. Must possess excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, MRI safety, and patient positioning is essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment is required.
