Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine, interventional MRI imaging and support radiology services across ultrasound, CT, PET, and nuclear medicine. The role includes venipuncture when indicated and assisting Radiologists and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

The position requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification (or ARRT R with MR license planned within 1 year) and Texas State licensure, with a focus on patient safety and quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification; or ARRT (R) with plan to obtain MR license within 1 year.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• At least 1 year MRI work experience; or ARRT (R) eligibility and requirement to obtain MR license within 1 year of orientation.

Your Job: In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you‘ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist certification - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
