Job Summary and Qualifications

As an MRI Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and radiographs according to standards set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, assisting in diagnosis or treatment. You will demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation by licensed practitioners and provide appropriate patient care, recognizing patient conditions crucial for successful procedures.

  • Prepare patients and provide instructions to ensure cooperation and minimize anxiety.
  • Complete required documentation accurately.
  • Administer contrast using proper techniques.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic scans.
  • Label and identify images according to protocol.
  • Communicate pertinent information to radiologists promptly.

Job Requirements:

Experience

  • One to two years of MRI Technologist experience is preferred.

Education

  • Graduate of an accredited radiology or MRI program by JRCERT or AMA, or an ARMRIT degree, or equivalent military training.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current BLS certification as per policy.
  • ARRT (MR) certification within 6 months of hire or ARMRIT certification.
  • Preferred: MRT certification with Texas Medical Board.
