Job summary

The Atria Health Institute is hiring an MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures with minimal supervision, across all age groups, and ensure high-quality diagnostic images. You will prepare and position patients, review scans for quality, and adhere to ALARA and safety standards while maintaining documentation.

Required ARRT MRI certification or ARMRIT, and a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology education path with relevant licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and an associate degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• National certification in MRI through ARRT (R.T.(MR)) or ARMRIT required.
• IV/contrast injection certification preferred.
• Independently perform MRI procedures in accordance with protocols.
• Maintain proper quality control procedures.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams, Safety and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of MRI imaging procedures and functions with minimal supervision for members across all ages.
• Prepare and position patients accurately for specific examinations, observing protocol requirements.
• Assume responsibilities for designated areas of MRI equipment, producing high-quality technical images.
• Troubleshoot departmental technical issues according to correct procedural guidelines.
• Practice ALARA principles for all patients and members.
• Ensure all QC sheets are completed accurately.
• Review schedule for any gaps in coverage.
