Job summary

Osceola Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist (Casual) to perform MRI exams, monitor patient care, and assist Radiologists with MRI protocols. The role supports the Diagnostic Imaging department and involves safety practices, patient positioning, and coordination with radiology staff.

The ideal candidate will have AMA-approved radiography training, current CPR certification, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved radiography program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have training and experience to competently perform MR procedures independently.

Responsibilities

• Practices proper safety precautions in the magnet environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Obtains medical history from patients, verifies orders, and prepares/administers contrast media under Radiologist direction.
• Performs MRI examinations on patients of all ages to aid diagnosis.
• Maintains and updates MRI protocol manual.
• Assists with routine maintenance and minor repairs of MRI equipment as needed.
• Position patients and determine exposure factors for MRI exams.
• Provide high quality customer service to internal and external customers by clear communication.
