AdventHealth in Ocala, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and maintain imaging room readiness. The role requires ARMRIT/RT(MR) credentials, 1+ year radiology experience, and strong communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities include operating MRI equipment, managing IV contrast, and adhering to safety and documentation standards while providing compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have ARMRIT and RT(MR) credentials.
• 1+ year of radiology experience with MRI training.
• Excellent communication and patient-facing skills.
• Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and contrast use.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low.
• Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using immobilization and coil placement techniques for high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs daily QC checks in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains documentation within EMR and PACS.
• Operates imaging equipment safely, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Reviews patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and potential contraindications.
