Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in Torrance, CA is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI scanners and produce high-resolution diagnostic images with precision and patient care. You will select imaging techniques per physician orders, verify image quality, monitor patients, and maintain safety standards across all procedures.

Qualifications

• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• Valid state licensure current (where required).
• Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program.
• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred.
• MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature.
• Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems.
• Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates.
• Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline.
• Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images and select imaging techniques based on orders and patient condition.
• Evaluate your own work before it reaches a radiologist and maintain MRI physics knowledge and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Enforce MRI safety zones, screen patients, monitor during procedures, and respond to issues promptly.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine QC checks, and keep documentation current in PACS.
• Provide clear explanations to patients and ensure comfort and safety throughout the scan.
