Job summary

SimonMed Imaging in Texas seeks an MRI Technologist to produce high-resolution diagnostic images with precision and compassionate patient care. You will operate MRI scanners, ensure safety, and maintain high standards while collaborating with radiologists and the care team.

Open MRI experience preferred; 1+ year in a high-volume MRI setting is desirable. You will mentor staff, support efficient workflows, and engage in ongoing professional development within a national network.

Qualifications

• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required; valid state licensure where required.
• Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program.
• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred.
• MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature.
• Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems.
• Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates.
• Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline.
• Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images and select imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition.
• Evaluate your own work before it reaches a radiologist and maintain MRI physics knowledge, anatomy familiarity, and contrast protocols.
• Enforce MRI safety zones and screen patients thoroughly; monitor during procedures and respond calmly if issues arise.
• Maintain documentation in PACS and imaging software; ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Manage own workflow, perform routine quality control checks, and maintain/adjust equipment and protocols as needed.
• Provide compassionate patient care, including clear explanations and comforting interactions.
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture and mentor junior staff and students.
