Job summary

Pscfl is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations and coordinate patient flow within the Radiology department. You will ensure safety, verify orders, and maintain accurate documentation for each patient.

The role requires MRI training or equivalent experience, ARRT-MR/ARMRIT certification within one year, and CPR/BLS current. Strong teamwork and communication are essential to support physicians and patients.

Qualifications

• MRI tech role requires enrolled/completed MRI training or 3 years MRI technologist experience.
• Certification: ARRT-MR or ARMRIT active within 1 year of hire.
• CPR BLS active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations as requested by referring physicians.
• Coordinate MRI exams with other departments and offices.
• Document information in patient log book and scan sheet.
• Maintain patient safety and protect MRI equipment; obtain accurate medical history.
• Follow patient-identification policy prior to examination.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor; keep MRI area clean and orderly.
• Maintain ongoing education on MRI issues to stay current.
• Monitor patients with nursing assistance when appropriate.
• Operate MRI scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Perform scans timely to reduce patient delays.
• Enter and transmit patient information to PACS after exams.
