Job summary

Vetted Solutions is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, prepare patients, and ensure safety and image quality. You will follow imaging protocols, apply ALARA principles, and assist with interventional procedures while educating healthcare staff and students.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certification or progress toward certification, and a specialty training background in Radiologic Technology; a related bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certification in ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required; new grads must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Experience in radiologic technology or MRI preferred; advanced certification within 24 months for hires after a specified date.
• Graduate of Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, prepare patients, and document clinical history confidentially.
• Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles for safety.
• Administer medications as prescribed, evaluate image quality, and ensure proper data storage and transfer.
• Assist with magnetic resonance interventional procedures and select suitable pulse sequences.
• Apply MR safety guidelines and participate in safety implant investigations and approvals.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
