Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk in Long Island, NY, is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team on a full-time day shift (11:00 AM - 8:00 PM, rotating schedule). The role involves performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and supporting physicians with high-quality diagnostic images.

The ideal candidate has completion of a two-year ARRT-accredited program, MRI certification, and BLS. Requires 1–2 years MRI experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two year approved ARRT program.
• BLS required.
• Must have (1-2) years current MRI experience and MRI certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Maintains an active and thorough knowledge of MRI concepts and protocols.
• Provides patient comfort and care before, during, and after the exam.
• Evaluates and corrects problems arising from computer or machine software.
• Provides necessary patient information to assist physicians with interpretation.
• Verifies informed consent and assists during interventional procedures; applies aseptic techniques.
