Qualifications

• Two-year ARRT-approved program completed.

Responsibilities

• Operates MRI equipment in accordance with all federal and state regulations.
• Maintains an active and thorough knowledge of the concepts, techniques and protocols utilized in MRI.
• Provides patient comfort and care before, during and after the exam.
• Evaluates and corrects problems arising from computer software or machine software.
• Provides necessary patient information and data to assist physicians with interpretation.
• Verifies informed consent and assists during interventional procedures; applies aseptic techniques, and evaluates order requisition.
• Operates functions of HIS/RIS in accordance with hospital and department policy.
