Job summary

SimonMed Imaging seeks an MRI Technologist to operate high-resolution MRI scanners, ensuring diagnostic-quality images and strict safety practices. You will select appropriate imaging techniques, verify orders, and document findings while maintaining patient comfort and clear communication.

Qualifications

• ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification required
• Valid state licensure current (where required)
• Hands-on CPR/BLS certified and current
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program
• 1+ year of experience in a high-volume MRI environment preferred
• MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature
• Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates
• Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline
• Willingness to mentor staff and students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high-resolution diagnostic images.
• Select imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition, and evaluate your own work before it reaches a radiologist.
• Enforce MRI safety zones and screening protocols for every patient.
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment, perform routine QC checks.
• Document patient interactions clearly and accurately in the PACS/imaging software.
• Mentor staff and students, and contribute to a positive clinical culture.
