Job summary

Northwell Health in New York seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic exams, prepare patients, and ensure safety and accuracy in image capture. The role requires completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program, NY/CT licensure, and ARRT certification, with at least one year of experience.

The successful candidate will operate X-ray equipment, document procedures, and maintain film labels, logs, and tracking.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration, required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and translates procedures into lay terms while ensuring consent if needed.
• Performs radiologic exams according to established standards and procedures; positions patient and adjusts equipment.
• Processes and maintains exposed images; labels and documents exams; ensures proper date, patient ID, and laterality.
• Performs related duties as required.
