Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform all aspects of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, including neuro and dynamic studies under the supervision of a Radiologist. You will operate the MRI unit, injectors, teleradiology, and related equipment while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will report to the Director of Imaging and participate in on-call coverage as part of essential job requirements.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist with Radiology knowledge and MRI safety.
• Familiarity with anatomy/physiology in imaging.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance and documentation requirements.
• Experience documenting patient data and imaging results.

Responsibilities

• Use MRI equipment to acquire cross-sectional image scans for diagnostic purposes.
• Interact with patients and physicians to coordinate care.
• May administer intravenous contrast dyes as needed.
• Maintain safety measures specific to MRI procedures.
• Communicate with the care team to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Assist other staff and students within the imaging department.
