Job summary

Vanderbilt Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures across the department in accordance with established policies, ensuring high quality patient care. The role includes on-call rotation and close collaboration with radiologists and clinic staff to schedule and complete exams.

Responsibilities emphasize patient safety, image quality, documentation, and adherence to RIS/PACS workflows in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or associates degree in radiologic technology or ARRT registered program preferred.
• Certification/licensure in Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required or eligible.
• 1 year of related imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures per department protocols and patient care standards.
• Enters patient information and technical settings accurately before the exam.
• Prepares and administers intravenous contrast according to protocols.
• Performs venipuncture using sterile technique.
• Maintains cross-sectional anatomy knowledge and PACS workflow.
• Completes imaging studies and forwards data to PACS per radiologist requirements.
• Manages RIS transactions to ensure accurate patient and procedure data.
• Conducts equipment checks and reports malfunctions, ensuring safety.
• Collaborates with staff and physicians to coordinate routine and emergency exams.
