Job summary

The MRI Technologist at Vanderbilt Health performs MRI procedures in accordance with department policies to deliver high-quality patient care. This role participates in on-call rotation and collaborates with radiologists and hospital staff.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, contrast administration, image processing for PACS, RIS data entry, and equipment safety. A degree from an approved program and at least one year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program.
• 1 year of related work experience in MRI or radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures following department protocols and safety standards.
• Enter correct patient information and technical settings prior to execution of each exam.
• Prepare and administer intravenous contrast media per established protocols.
• Record, process, and archive images for evaluation and billing using RIS/PACS.
• Support scheduling and on-call coverage as needed and assist in patient movement.
