Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI. You will operate MRI units, calibrate equipment, and assist radiologists in image acquisition and protocol development.

Qualifications

• Registered by the ARRT with MRI certification.
• Thorough knowledge of specialized MRI technology and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Experience with computer operations in imaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and calibrates the MRI unit for daily operation.
• Selects proper technical factors for each patient.
• Screens patients prior to entry into the imaging area.
• Operates IS software such as MAK, Syngo, PACS, Lifelinks.
• Positions patients to obtain satisfactory examinations and procedures.
• Performs complex MRI imaging in multiple views and sequences.
• QA's images for radiologist interpretation.
• Assists radiologists in developing procedures and protocols.
• Participates in in-service education and clinical instruction.
