Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist in Massachusetts to support a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment. The role is per-diem and focuses on patient safety, accurate positioning, and high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities include administering intravenous contrast, following center protocols, and coordinating data and films with radiologists. ARRT/CPR certifications are required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Sit for extended periods and assist patients with mobility.
• Some locations may require participation in call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
