Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist for a per-diem role in Massachusetts. The technologist will maintain patient-focused care in a fast-paced imaging setting, position patients, manage contrast administration, and ensure data is accurately entered and shared with radiologists.

Requirements include MRI experience and ARRT/ARRT certifications, CPR certification, and in some locations ARMRIT acceptance. Inpatient call rotations may apply and lifting requirements exist.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience is required.
• Interpersonal skills are essential for patient care.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Follow policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about exams and obtain informed understanding.
• Position patients accurately and ensure comfort throughout the scan.
• Maintain contact with patients during exams and follow center protocols.
• Administer intravenous contrast and document patient data in the system.
• Provide films/CDs and forward data to radiologists after exams.
• Assist clerical staff and maintain equipment and rooms.
