Job summary

Biograph is seeking an MRI Technologist in New York City to deliver high-quality MR imaging while prioritizing patient comfort. You will interpret orders, explain procedures, and ensure safety throughout the imaging process.

The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT/NMTCB certification, relevant experience, and strong knowledge of MRI safety and PACS systems. SHIFTS are 4+ hours, with pay in the $60–$80/hr range.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT, ARMRIT or NMTCB certification.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
• Proven MRI Technologist experience with MRI principles and protocols.
• Experience with PACS systems (AMBRA preferred).
• Deep familiarity with MRI equipment (Siemens preferred).
• Knowledge of anatomy, MRI physics and IV administration.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety.
• Excellent oral communication with patients and care team.
• Organizational and math skills for supplies, contrast administration and inventory.
• Strong problem-solving and observational skills.
• Proficiency operating MRI equipment, Google Suite, and health information systems.
• Confidentiality and professionalism with sensitive patient information.
• Exceptional bedside manner and ability to work with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow physician orders accurately.
• Explain procedures, medications, or contrast to patients.
• Review patient history and MR safety assessments.
• Position patients and perform MR scans per physician specs.
• Maintain communication with patients to ensure comfort.
• Insert IV catheters, prepare contrast, and operate power injectors.
• Evaluate scan images for quality and document them.
• Clean, maintain, and operate MRI equipment.
• Assist in education and training of clinical staff.
• Collaborate with radiologists to develop protocols and imaging techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
