Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking an MRI Technologist to support diagnostic imaging within a clinical setting. You will prepare patients, confirm orders, document history, and perform MRI scans using negotiated protocols to ensure high-quality images.

The role requires ARRT (R or MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB certification, and graduation from a Radiologic Technology program. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, with emphasis on MRI safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT (R or MR), ARMRIT, or NMTCB is required.
• Education includes graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of MRI safety, technical procedures, and patient care is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history accurately.
• Use imaging protocols and optimize factors while adhering to ALARA principles for patient safety.
• Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
• Evaluate images for quality and position, verify data transfer and archival.
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, applying safety principles to minimize risks.
• Assist with MRI interventional procedures and perform prescribed scans.
• Select suitable pulse sequences considering protocols and data acquisition factors.
• Demonstrate proficiency in routine and complex duties and participate in quality improvement activities.
