Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the imaging team at the University of MN Medical Center - West Bank in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 0.9 FTE Baylor night shift position working 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, Monday through Wednesday, with weekend call rotation.

The Technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, deliver age-appropriate patient care, and collaborate with the health care team while adhering to ARRT guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT registration is required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Must meet MRI safety screen requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and prioritizes work to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Performs individualized, compassionate patient care
• Performs high quality examinations
• Identifies relevant data from images accurately
• Uses appropriate communication skills to meet patient/family, and other customer needs
• Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional
• Participates in creating a culture of patient safety
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness
• Verify patient identification and documentation
• Communicate with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
• Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol
• Applies established professional guidelines and standards to complex, routine, and non-routine diagnostic testing procedures
• Ensures patient data integrity
• Adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures
