Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• CRT NYS licensure upon hire required; ARRT certification with CE credits upon hire required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient MRI setting: set up MRI equipment including imaging coils and patient monitoring systems.
• Evaluate image quality and troubleshoot scanner or coil problems.
• Identify and compensate for imaging artifacts to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Review MRI registration and screening forms to confirm safe access to the magnet room.
• Assist in training new MRI technologists and students.
• Perform filming, archiving and PACS data management for each patient scanned.
• Retrieve old MRI data for restoration and networking.
• Maintain safety policies for MRI zones and QA measurements.
• Discharge patients with appropriate post-MRI instructions.
• Shift F/S/S 7p-7:30a qualify for weekend bonus and weekend premium.

CRT - Certified Radiologic Technologist NYS licensure
