Job summary

University of Rochester is seeking an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality imaging. You will support PACS data management and assist in training junior staff and students at the Miracle Mile site.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• Current NYS CRT licensure and ARRT Radiography Certification with CE credits.
• Ability to operate MRI equipment and maintain patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and utilizes MRI equipment including imaging coils, patient monitoring systems, and related articles.
• Evaluate image quality by troubleshooting scanner or coil problems and scan parameters.
• Identifies and compensates for imaging artifacts and reviews MRI registration for safe access.
• Assists in training new MRI technologists and students.
• Performs filming, archiving and PACS data management for each patient scanned.
• Maintains safety and quality by following MRI policies and procedures.
