Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI and General Radiology exams with high-quality patient care. The role includes interviewing patients, reviewing charts, starting IVs, and assisting radiologists.

Qualifications

• MRI technologist must complete MRI and General Radiology exams with quality patient care.
• Interview patients and review charts to obtain complete history and evaluate labs before contrast.
• Evaluate patients for contraindicators and assist radiologist as needed.
• Scan patients and perform the correct ordered exam.
• Take plain film x-rays and transport patients to and from the department.

Responsibilities

• Participate in PI plan and promote teamwork within the department and hospital.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment of patients.
• Operate imaging systems and workstations (Meditech, Synapse, Tele-Radiology, GE workstation).
• Follow facility-endorsed risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology

1 year of post-graduate related experience

Current ARRT registration with advanced MRI certification

MRI certification within 12 months if not MRI registered

Current BLS Certification on hire
