Job summary

TriStar Skyline Medical Center is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join its radiology team. The role involves interviewing patients, reviewing charts, and performing MRI and general radiology exams with a focus on quality patient care.

Responsibilities include operating multiple systems (Meditech, Synapse, Tele-Radiology, GE workstation) and starting IVs, while promoting teamwork within the department and hospital. ARRT MRI certification and BLS are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• 1 year of post-graduate related experience.
• Current registration with ARRT with advanced certification in MRI.
• If not MRI registered, required to obtain MRI certification within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS Certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete MRI and General Radiology examinations with high-quality patient care.
• Interview patients and review charts to obtain a complete history and evaluate labs before contrast injections.
• Evaluate patients for contraindicators and assist the radiologist as needed.
• Scan patients with appropriate equipment and perform the ordered exams.
• Capable of taking plain film x-rays and transporting patients.
• Participate in the PI plan and promote teamwork within the department and hospital.
• Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, and treatment of patients.
• Operate Meditech, Synapse, Tele-Radiology system, CD Burner, Power Injector, and GE workstation.
• Follow all risk mitigation strategies for handling hazardous medications.
