Job summary

Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT is seeking a MRI Technologist for a 7 on/7 off graveyard shift (8pm–6am). The role performs diagnostic MRI exams, collaborates with radiologists, and ensures high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Qualified candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $7,500 and relocation assistance. ARRt/ARMRIT or equivalent certification and BLS are required, with strong patient care and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required for MR work.
• Knowledge of MRI safety guidelines and quality imaging.
• Experience operating MRI equipment and recognizing technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ARMRIT competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Ensures patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
• Performs MRI exams per protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Assists and instructs students and MRI staff in protocols and positioning.
• Provides patient education, comfort, and addresses concerns.
• Practices infection control and sterile technique.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions.
• Follows protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reports equipment failures.
