Job description

Job Description: MRI Technologist

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology, and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. The role involves operating MRI machines efficiently, making patients comfortable during procedures, and coordinating with physicians to ensure timely receipt of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are required.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
2. Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
3. Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures
4. Insert IVs when necessary
5. Document procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience as an MRI Technologist
• Experience with GE MRI scanners
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ARRT or ARMRIT registration

Additional Requirements

• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Valid NY MRI license
• Two references from previous employers
