Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking an Imaging Technologist to perform radiographic procedures with independence and professional judgment. The role requires analyzing image quality, reporting results, and educating patients on procedures and safety.

Responsibilities include preparing equipment, administering contrast when needed, and ensuring patient safety throughout the exam. Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology and ARRT (R) or MR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent education/experience.
• ARRT (R) in Radiography or equivalent MR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient and performs imaging procedures independently.
• Analyzes results and identifies image quality issues.
• Reports scan results and communicates findings to physicians as required.
• Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam.
• Prepares and administers contrast media when ordered and within scope.
• Monitors patient condition and responds to changes appropriately.

Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology

ARRT (R) Radiography or MR certification (ARMRIT/CAMRT)
