Job summary

Health First is hiring an MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to imaging protocols and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with healthcare teams to produce high-quality scans for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

The role requires ARRT/ARMRIT certification paths, successful pre-employment safety screening, and readiness to support on-call coverage across facilities. A hire-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT accredited program or ARMRIT/JRC programs as listed.
• Must obtain ARMRIT or ARRT (MR) certification within two years of start date.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe environment operating MRI equipment following safety policies and guidelines.
• Screens patients for MRI safety and documents information pre- and post-procedure.
• Positions patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment.
• Produces images meeting quality standards and evaluates scans for technical quality.
• Administers medications within scope as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
• Adapts to workflow changes based on patient volume and Health First needs.
• Communicates effectively with patients, associates, and the public.
• Adheres to Federal, State, and Joint Commission/ACR standards.
• Provides orientation for new technologists and assists radiologists in protocol development.
